The Franklin Public Library is considered to be the nation’s first public library. The library was first est. in 1790 with a donation from Benjamin Franklin himself. The job included a 6,000 sq. ft. addition, and the overseeing of the restoration and renovating of the existing 22,000 sq. ft. structure. A mix of history and a new modern addition, the added space included conference rooms, quiet reading areas, children’s reading area, a computer work station, and an extension of the library itself.
